keep making art

Guavavesence is the creative platform of Keiliki Ranae, showcasing a vibrant collection of prints, plants, and patterns. Her work reflects a deep connection to memory, material, and reinvention.

“Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.”

- Andy Warhol

The prints collection includes the Maiko Doll photography series, playful toy compositions, and expressive acrylic monoprints. Each piece offers a glimpse into a world where nostalgia meets experimental process.

In Pothos in Thrifted Pots, living plants are paired with carefully sourced, secondhand vessels - each grown with care and selected for character. These living arrangements celebrate the beauty of the overlooked and the charm of the imperfect.

Keiliki also creates wearable art by reimagining garments nearing the end of their use. Using bleach or dye, she transforms them with bold, original patterns that give each piece a renewed and one-of-a-kind identity.

Born in Hawai‘i and raised in a multicultural household, Keiliki draws from a diverse background to find emotional resonance in the objects she reclaims and reworks. A dedicated thrifter for over 30 years, she finds inspiration in the act of discovery—the treasure hunt is often where the creative journey begins.

A self-taught artist throughout her life, Keiliki is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Arts, continuing to refine her practice and deepen her engagement with the art community.
